Hello everyone.
I'm very new to this, but thought this would be the best place to find support with other people in my shoes. I recently got married about ten months ago. Prior to getting married my husband agreed to wait to have children but I know he secretly wanted to start trying right away. Well some recent events in my career have taken place allowing me to give more thought to children now as oppose to later in our marriage.
Long story short I have decided to join him and now we are going to start ttc. How exciting! This is where you come in. I am excited and nervous. This will be a first for the both of us. I have been on the IUD for six months and am not sure of how long it will take to conceive after its removal. Have any had this situation? If so what can you share?
thank you
Re: Thinking baby....
Anywhere from 1 day up to who knows when. Every woman is different.
If your question is how long did it take to get pregnant after removing the IUD? I have 2 friends who had theirs out and got pregnant right away. But that had nothing to do with the IUD, that is just their personal fertility.
The PP is right, the average, healthy couple can take up to a year to conceive.
