I don't know if I have anything good.
I got SO to stay home with the baby on NYE (he's not a fan of going out) so that I could go out and stay at a friend's without a single care in the world for a whole 24 hours. My mom was all "I could've never done that. I hated leaving you kids for a second." I'm pretty sure she's wearing rose-tinted glasses because if she remembered how trying it is to take care of a NB around the clock she'd be a little happier about me getting to go out. It takes nothing away from me loving or nurturing me child. It just means I'll be less likely to want to kick SO in the face at 3 a.m. when the baby is freaking out. So, apparently that was more of a vent than a brag.
Re: Braggy Sunday
I agree, and I'll play! We just finished our first bf session without a nipple shield! So excited for us!
LO had two pooplosions last night that got her two outfit changes all in a matter of 30 min. I'm sure she is very proud of that.
WooHoo! I remember how awesome that was! Good for you guys.
LO is having way more happy time finally. I hope this means we are leaving colic behind.
I agree. I stopped posting on the LNCI because I feel bad for those struggling.
I have 2. LO slept 10.5 hours last night. And she took a 2 oz bottle last night while we were out and a four oz bottle tonight from my mom while I was 10 ft away.
Can I ask if your LO is ff? Because I know they sleep better because they digest it slower than BM. And my LO is EBF and is no where near sleeping that long.
Formula digests slower but my LO never slept better with it. She sleeps the same regardless of if she gets formula or breastmilk. She also eats every 2 hours no matter what I feed her. I really hoped that formula would buy me a little extra time, but no such luck. Then again, maybe I just have the exception to the rule
STTN is not just a food thing, it's a skill that all babies master at their own pace.
She is EBF. She eats every 1.5 to 2 hours in the late afternoon and evening. Then the last 2 feeds are an hour apart then she falls asleep. Last night was 9 to 730
