8 wk appt today

We had our 8 week appointment today with our second ultrasound. Everything is measuring on target, heart rate was 161 bpm and we got to hear it this time. It was amazing to hear how fast it was going! 

With a little pushing they scheduled my Mat21 for 10 weeks instead of 12 weeks so that's the next step.

I'm now working from home with a nasty bout of m/s. Hoping that its not like this everyday!

    Congrats! I had my Materni 21 results read today. The good part is that the dr can tell you the baby's sex!

    Congrats on the great news!  And way to go getting the Mat21 earlier.  I'm not scheduled until 13 weeks and it's killing me to wait!  Good luck!

    TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

    FET 4/28/2015 - Transferred 1 M embie. 5/6/15 BFP!

    They took the bloodwork at my 10 week appointment and I got the results of the Materni 21 at my 12 week appointment. They also did the NT scan. I'm happy I did it and I did learn the sex of my baby :

    So glad all is well thus far. 10 weeks is about the earliest you'd want to do the MT21, as maternal blood samples taken earlier than that might not have a sufficient quantity of fetal DNA for the test to be accurate. Just a heads up in case the sample comes back as unreadable.
