I have been sick with morning sickness and now this cold, so I haven't been able to do anything but watch TV and use this laptop. :-) Hopefully by second tri I will feel well enough to actually clean out the room that will be the future nursery.
I have known since before I was PG that I wanted a Beatrix Potter nursery. I want to do something semi-gender-neutral (I don't know if we will find out the sex). I really like peter rabbit. :-)
Anyone else know what they want to do? Have you started yet?
Extra points for PIP... :-)
Re: Has anyone given thought to a nursery theme?
Oh my gosh! That is *amazing*. If you get that bedding set, I think you need a chandelier for the nursery too!

When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

For sure!
I am going all out if it is a girl. I already have 3 little boys so I am dying to do pink and frills!

Nope. I know we're in the vast minority, but we aren't buying anything before the bebe arrives. And I figure whatever we throw together will be perfect - I'm hoping to do a lot of second hand/lightly used stuff.
When we bought this house, we painted the guest room a light blue, knowing it might one day be a nursery and hoping it would be gender-neutral enough. I'm really not interested in repainting yet. lol

Breastfeeding and pregnant!
We are doing a hunting or pirate theme for little boy but it won't be cute animals or pirates that are monkeys. I found this cute thing where you take stuffed animal and mount its head on the wall. We won't be doing camo though.
for a little girl I want a purple and black Victorian style room. I want to paint a large black chandelier on the wall.

8/13 DD
9/16 DS
For a girl I want something gray, white and yellow with birds - something like this:https://www.etsy.com/listing/77417112/custom-baby-crib-bedding-setcrib-bumper?ref=sr_gallery_16&ga_search_query=NURSERY&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all&ga_includes[0]=tags&ga_page=7&ga_facet=NURSERY+bedding+yellow+gray
For a boy I want sock monkey.
Either way we will use the black furniture we already have from DD.
The room that will be the baby's room is pink, so if it is a girl then we may not do anything, but I do love gray with color accents. If it is a boy we will have to re-paint and again maybe gray and blue? I love the idea of doing animals or an accent of wooden letters that are painted and different styles around the room.
Here is an example:

I am really excited to do the room though!
*8.31.16* mc @ 8 weeks DnC {genetic testing, new medications upon next pregnancy}
*7.17.16* praying everyday for my rainbow baby {progesterone supplements, blood thinning injections}
I want gray also. I love orange and gray for a boy! Girl I was thinking pink and gray.
For a boy, I'm not sure, maybe something red, white, and blue. I used all of my best ideas on DS's room.
pip or it doesn't exist!

Right now the nursery is https://www.maternityandbabyshoppingmart.com/champsnoopybabycribbeddingsetbybedtimeoriginals.aspx?gclid=CMGqnfD_w7QCFQVgMgod-WYAug
DS will be moving into his "big boy" room this summer (we are thinking Cars theme) so new baby can use the crib and the changing table. So if this LO is a boy...we will keep the "Champ Snoopy" theme. If its a girl all we have to do is rip down the wallpaper border and put a new one up. The walls are painted a cream color. I will probably try and find a blue "girly" theme. A lot of DS' baby stuff (changing table pad, random crib sheets, hangers) is all blue and I'm not rebuying stuff like that. I'm cheap.
this is The tree I did in DD's room. Bird houses from Michaels, leaves are various patterns of scrapbook paper, glued to the wall with Tacky glue.
LOVE!!!!! Are you doing a Tardis Crib or dresser? I saw the cutest/evil dalik soft talking dolls at Barnes and Nobel
