Secured LO a gmail account

We got one for DS1 when he was a baby, but we could only

get firstname.middlename.lastname@gmail.com. This time

we could do just firstname.lastname@gmail.com. Success

in picking a more original name I guess. Funny that Google

is the source that makes me realize that!

Haven't you seem the commercial where the dad makes videos, takes pictures and sends messages to his daughter?! It's the sweetest thing! We haven't made LO and account but I understand why people would do it. Most people keep their pictures and videos on a computer these days.

We have a somewhat common last name, and I had to get

firstname.middleinitial.lastname for mine. It makes it long.

DH did this for DD1. He won't tell me the address or password.

This is exactly why I wanted to do it!! We write her emails and, like PP, plan on giving her the email and password when she's 18.

I thought if you dont check it in so long they delete it anyways? I'd rather save it on a thumb drive and give it to them down the road. You can always download and convert to newer tech.

I have a Yahoo account I went several years without checking

and it's still there.
