This summer we will be traveling about 10 hours away for a wedding. With three kids under 4, we will most definitely be driving! Because it is a family wedding and kids aren't invited, we will need a sitter. I'm just trying to figure out if it makes more sense to hire someone through my cousin's friends (who live in the area), go through an agency or hotel we are staying at, or just bring our own babysitter along? I used to travel with the people I nannied for quite a bit, but I can't imagine sitting for 10 hours in a car with three kids just so I can babysit while the parents go to a wedding. On the other hand, the kids are already super comfortable with our sitter and I'd know nothing was going to fall through at the last minute leaving me high and dry. WWYD?

This is something I hadn't considered and sounds like an awesome idea!!! Only set back might be that the wedding is in AL, most of my family is in NH and MA, we are in TX... so it would be fun for everyone to get a chance to meet our new baby etc. Hmm, something to think about
I get wanting to show them off, but I think 3 kids under age 4 deserves a night away even more:)
Once it becomes reality, I'm sure that is EXACTLY how I'll feel, haha.
