I spotted yesterday Sad

I was feeling very confident about this pregnancy even though I haven't even passed 22 weeks yet. I spotted/bled a lot when I was pregnant with Aidan. The doctors think all the spotting and bleeding caused my cervix to get too soft and that "may" be the reason for going into PTL last time. It really was just a little. A "strand" of light red in mucus during one wipe. I can only assume it was from straining to go to the bathroom. Or perhaps from fooling around with DH the day before. We are banned from sex (nothing in the vagina). Of course now I feel guilty. Sad

I haven't seen anymore color at all on the TP except for that time yesterday. But of course I am scared now. I am supposed to call with any spotting but it was after hours. Mikey didn't think it was cause to call the emergency line and take the hour trip into Boston during the snow storm. I am planning on calling tomorrow..hoping they will be in the office on NYE. My next appt isn't until Thursday. I'm trying to stay calm...but as you all know..that is hard!

My guess is it is from fooling around yesterday or from straining after going to the bathroom as spotting is very common after that. I hope you're able to talk to your doctor soon so you can feel more assured.

Thank you Delino. We didn't have "regular" sex. How embarrassing to even say this. Anyway..we will not be doing that again. It's just not worth it. The sex can wait until after my twins are safely born.

Ugh. Spotting is so, so scary. I hope that's the last of it--and that it was NOTHING. I had a random streak of blood around week 15 or so, and that was it. Nothing came of it, and we're still going strong at almost 27 weeks. Hang in there. Can't wait until Thursday's here, so your OB can put your mind at ease.

I had the same thing happen to me (in regards to sex). It sucks. Not being allowed. I also had spotting and freaked out and called our on call nurse. The next 24 hours sucked but it all ended up being fine. I feel ridiculous how I obsess over the TP every time I wipe, but I do (as I know a lot of us do). I know it's hard but I'm sure all is fine especially if it's stopped.

Spotting sucks- and it can be so scary. But, I agree that the fooling around and/or straining are likely candidates for the actual cause. Hopefully, your OB's office is open tomorrow and if not, that Thursday comes quickly. Hang in there, hon.
