Hi ladies I'm having an issue with ds's skin. About 2 weeks ago I noticed ds had small bumps on the backs of his arms and the front of his legs. They weren't red. I put lotion on them in the hopes of clearing them up. Since then they have dried up but now i am left with small, dry, bumps and very dry skin. I wish I could describe it better but it feels awful. Almost like sand paper. I have tried changing his lotion and body wash and I can't figure this out. He doesnt seem distressed by it unless I'm rubbing lotion on him or washing him. He gets a bath every 23 days. Im going to call the pedi tomorrow to see what she recommends. Should I try baby oil? Any thoughts?

    Sounds like excema to me.  DS1 had it pretty bad.  Our pedi recommened using Eucerin or Cetaphil cream exclusively instead of the smelly baby lotions.  Then when he had a bad outbreak we'd use a layer of 1% hydrocortizone cream topped with Cetaphil twice a day.  They can also prescribe a medicine that's for psoriesis, that comes in a red and white tube.  Can't remember the name.

    My LO has ezcema on her legs just like her dad. I tried aquaphor, castor, coconut, olive and baby oil, Kheils and probably 5 other lotions. Nothing worked. I would slather her with oil and. 10 min later she was like sand paper again. Now I'm using aveeno eczema for babies and she stays hydrated for 24 hrs at at time. It is awesome stuff.

    My LO skin.especially the thighs, felt so dry and bumpy. Her baby lotion wasn't doing a thing for it. I found some Johnson's baby oil lotion blended with shea and coco butter. Slathered it on after her bath and her skin is soft and smooth again.Hope you find something that works for you guys.
