Anyone taking supplements (or plan to) after 36 weeks to prepare body for labor? I'm not talking to try to induce labor really, more just prepare your body. If so what are you taking? Anything special during labor or after you have the baby? I've been doing research and it looks like red raspberry leaf is a good one but I was wondering what else I should look up.
Re: Supplements
I've been drinking Mama's Red Raspberry Brew from Bulk Herb Store. It has Red Raspberry Leaf, Alfalfa, Nettle, and Peppermint.
I'm not planning to do anything else at this point. The only other thing I would consider is Evening Primrose Oil, but my MW recommended against this as I'm planning a VBAC. She said that the softening effect could work not only on my cervix, but also on my scar and obviously we don't want that! I do know that some VBAC mamas use it though.
Postpartum I'll definitely be doing Mother's Milk Tea. Probably Fenugreek pills on top of that as well. I had BF'ing problems last time though and I'm trying to be prepared this time around.

VERY good to know about the evening primrose since I'm not only a VBAC but a special scar. I have an appointment Wednesday and was going to ask the doctor before I started taking anything...just wanted to get an idea what to ask about. I'll look into the tea!!
And I did the mothers milk tea with DS and it was great!!!
