Upped Clomid Dosage and Vent (Baby Mentioned)

So, 2012 has been the year from hell. Got a call yesterday from the Doctor stating my blood pregnancy test came back negative and now it is time to bump me up from 50mg to 100mg of Clomid along with possible other drugs (progesterone). Now I get to wait for AF. Oh joy.

Starting in January this will be cycle # 3 on Clomid. Did anyone experience increased side effects when their dosage was upped? Just trying to prepare myself.

I wouldn?t be this upset, but my sister in law just had her baby two months ago and is bitching about not losing all of the ?baby weight?. She doesn?t  know what we are going through, and I am at the point to where I want to scream ?Count your Blessings? and STHU. Sorry, needed to vent.

Here is to hoping that 2013 is a better year for everyone.

Me 29/ DH 31 TTC = 11/11 HSG = Normal, LH = Low (almost normal) FSH = LOW, DHEA = HIGH SA = Normal 11/12: 50mg of Clomid = BFN 12/12: 50mg Clomid + Estrogen Patch +Progesterone (2x a day) = BFN 1/13: Benched - FU Cyst 1/31: Laparoscopy to remove cysts on right ovary 2/13: AF arrived(2/9)Trying on our own till April

    I was bumped from 50 to 100 as well, and luckily I have only really had random hot flashes here and there. Sorry about your SIL, I am dreading the day my nightmares for SIL's get pg. fx for you not having any severe side effects, and that 2013 is better for you!

    Sept 2012,1st round of Clomid 12, 15, 18mm follies:BFN

    Oct 2012, 2nd round of Clomid, one 19mm egg upping dosage 100mg clomid for November in hopes of doing IUI-BFN

    November 18th 2012, IUI #1-BFN prescribed progesterone supplements for next cycle, monitoring appt Dec 12th.

    December 14th- Missed ovulation, doing TI instead of IUI.-BFN

    January 11th IUI #2-BFN

    IUI #3-Feb 13th=BFP

    No, I didn't experience increased side effects when my dosage was upped.

    I can relate to the SIL thing. I don't know if people always realize how lucky they really are...

    I was bumped up two mths ago and have been on progesterone for a year. Progesterone gives me no problems and pretty much just forces af to start ( normally for me 3 days after I finish the 5 pills) clomid on the other had gives me mad hot flashes which got worse when the dose was upped.  Since it might not have worked this cycle though we are being referred to a fertility clinic ( all in all we have been at it for 6 years) . Good luck though I know how frustrating and heartbreaking it can be at times.

    Thank you ladies for your feedback, I like to be as prepared as possible. I swear, IF is one of the most painful things someone can go through. I wish you ladies lots of luck and success in 2013 Smile

    When i was bumped from 50mg to 100 my hot flashes got worse as well as my moodiness. I was also on the progesterone after iui as well. Hope your side effects arent too bad. As far as sil goes, i try to remind myself that people dont know bout our struggle so i try not to hold it against them.

    Me:29 DH:29  TTC since 1/11 Dx: unexplained IF/early DOR/immune issues 
    Feb'12- July'12-testing(all clear minus slight arcuate ute), 3 IUI with clomid all BFN
    8/30IVF#1 Antagonist protocol- ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F. 
    ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
    IVF#2 Antagonist protocol plus baby aspirin- ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
    ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
    3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy, Consulted w Dr. Kwak-Kim.  
    DX: High NK cells, cytokines, DHEAs& PAI1;  hypothyroid, +APA, restricted bloodflow
    7/13 IVF#3 Long lupron protocol with PIO, Crinone, Prometrium, and vivelle
