Sorry if this question is crossing the line as I've never seen it discussed.

I *think* I know the exact BD that lead to my BFP a year ago and it just so happened that during that session DH and I finished at the same time.

My question to you is this: Do you guys always try to finish together? I've read that doing so increases the number of sperm that make it to the ovaries. Do you guys think it's true? I only ask because I'm 13 weeks PP and I'm not always able to "perform" how I want to. My lady bits are still recovering... I can't help but feel like I'm not doing my part to help get us KUed.

    I don't really think it makes any difference.  There are a lot of women (myself included) that don't orgasm with sex.  I believe your chances are the same whether you finish or not so try not to be too hard on yourself.

    From what I've read, female orgasm increasing your chance of conception is a myth.

    Thanks ladies. I can't help but feel so guilty I'm not doing my part in the process. I stress about it so much and the last thing I need is more stress in the whole process!

    I've heard it both ways. I always finish with DH right on my heels. However if I am feeling pressure to O then it's harder to O.

    I have definitely read that o'ing increases your chances of getting KU...howeveer, we don't always finish at the same time, although I prefer it that way! I've been KU 4x and I can't remember if we finished together all those times!


    BFP #1 ended in MMC. Discovered Oct 2005 @10w5d, baby stopped growing around 6w. D&C.
    BFP#2 Nov 2005. Baby's heart stopped @ 8w3d. D&C Jan 2006. Trisomy 18
    BFP#3 Nov 2006. My "miracle baby" DD born 7/25/07
    BFP #4 11/6/12. EDD 7/16/13~my birthday! No sac found @ 5w1d, betas not increasing. Natural m/c started 11/20/12.

    BFP#5 11/9/13.  EDD 7/21/14  Our beautiful rainbow born on his due date!!

    I've read theories that support orgasm and fertilization, but I am living proof that it works if you don't finish too (I'm in the lucky group with ZAngel).

    I'm on team zangel. But if you're not feeling it, get a small vibrator or something. Are you open to that being part of your bedroom?

    We rarely get our timing for O right on...and I've been pg three times. Though I don't think it would hurt the chances, it certainly isn't required. Go easy on yourself, hugs.

    Thanks ladies! I am hoping for a girl (I don't care either way, I just think it would make the transition to a living child easier), so maybe I shouldn't try to time it right! A lot less stress for me...
