new post-er, shower date

I have lurked here for a while but haven't posted as my friends are just starting to plan my shower.  I have a quick question, I am due April 17th and my friends are looking at early March for a shower.  Is that pushing it too close or is it ok?

    I think you're okay w/ an early March shower.  Just have the nursery ready for everything to be put in it after your shower.

    I'm due early March and my MIL is planning on having a shower for me either the second weekend in Feb.

    I'm due the same day! My first shower is Jan 18th (a holiday weekend so some of my girlfriends from out of town can make it) and the 2nd will be within a few weeks of that (depending on when my sister can get home to host it).

    BUT mine were more dictated by when certain people would be able to come. And I'm at a higher risk for PTL so I'm grateful to get them in early. 6 weeks is getting a little close though, so if you know you want to get a shower in before the birth you might want to push it back to Feb.

    Many showers are given a month before.  I think your dates would be just right.

    i'm thinking that'll be okay. ?i actually had one shower 2 weeks before i delivered! ?but i felt great throughout my pregnancy, so it was fine.
