First Pregnancy!

Hi all! I just joined The Bump, and this is my first pregnancy - just got my positive test last Wednesday (EDD: 8/24/13) and my fiance and I are SO excited! He has three kids with his ex (15, 12, and 6), but from the start of our relationship, we both knew we wanted more!

We were planning for a June 2013 wedding, but with this news, eloping and having just our immediate family there sounds much better!  (Can you tell I'm excited? Already using "Mrs" as part of my screenname! :))  

I have an older sister who has gone through this all (3) times, and several friends who have children of their own, but I'm looking forward to forming bonds with women on here who are going through the same things, at the same time! :)  

Now, if my first appointment on January 21st could get here already, I'd be all set!!!

    Welcome! I would suggest heading over to the 1st Trimester board, they have a lot of great resources and information.

    Congrats to you both! My husband and I have just started TTC this month. I am also new to the bump, was on the knot before, I just love all the info you find. Good luck on your pregnancy, I can only imagine how happy you are, I know I'd be elated!!

    Congratulation on your first pregnancy! I was also a 1st timer and even though your sister, your friends, has gone through it and are there to answer your questions it's just not enough. I suggest that you get really informed. With any little thing you want to know research it. It's a blessing to be informed about everything before baby arrives.

    Congratulations!!! DH & I were planning a big wedding, but got married on our Justice of Peace's front porch instead- Just for fun. We couldn't wait! Lol. We don't regret it at all! Also, just got a BFP on our test two days ago :) We are so excited to start our family! You will love all the advice and information from theBump. My advice is: Make your own decisions, this is a special time for you and FI, future DH!
