I totally didn't make the Will and Grace connection until someone else mentioned it, so I think it's ok. Beautiful names!
Also, their peers will probably never really make the connection either. The shows been off the air for a few years already now, and as they age it will be less memorable.
Thanks for the replies! I can handle the occasional joke I just don't want people to think we are insane for having that sibset. I never really liked the show either! I would likely call him Will or Liam for short.
We don't have any boys names we can agree on besides William which is a family name but my DH is bothered by the will and grace thing.
I didn't get the connection at first either. I say go for it, but things like this don't bother me. My son is Malcolm and is about to be a middle child. While my IL's make a "Malcolm in the middle" reference any chance they get, I don't think his peers will.
My DS is named William - it was the ONLY boy name we could agree on when we were expecting. If we have a girl we are considering something along the lines of "Grace" And we call our son Will. I find it humorous, but not cheesy. It makes me giggle a little and I love it! William is a good strong masculine name, and Will makes it shorten nicely. I LOVE it!

He's my fairytale, a dream when I'm not sleeping.

I agree with PP that the show will have been off the air for a long time by the time LO's are older.
