pretend CP!

I'm super sad CPs are still down. Mine would be - do you take your LO into the bathroom while you do your business? (assuming no one is around to entertain LO when you gotta go)

Re: pretend CP!

  • Most of the time, I do bring him in with me.

The times that I don't, he's either in his PNP or his bed room (Which is thoroughly baby proofed and right next to the bathroom).

ETA: That picture cracked me up!

ALSO: If he isn't napping when I've gotten to the point that I feel so grubby that I just can't go on with the rest of the day, I bring him in to the bathroom and he stays in his command center (jumperoo thing) while I shower.

This. And Mrs. L., I love the pic!

  • Love the picture!

I do not bring her in with me.  Even though my bathroom is clean, it still grosses me out for her to be crawling around in there!  I put her in her jumperoo and go as fast as possible.  She screams the whole time though.

  • Confession - I created this post so I could use the picture.

It's about 50/50. If I think Anna will be ok for a minute or two I'll try to sneak out of the room.  She likes to explore the toilet, and I've had one too many cold hands on the bare butt cheeks. Yelp!

Love the picture. I usually leave her with her toys but usually she follows me so yes.

    This exactly!

  • I leave him outside of the bathroom with the door open. It's a 50/50 chance if he follows me or not. If he does, he's usually banging on the side of the tub and throwing his toys in it.

  • No, I leave him in his room which is 99.9% baby proofed, or in his play yard downstairs. Then I go really fast.

  • My mom swears that by taking babies into the bathroom each time helps with potty training. To her credit, I was potty trained by 1.5 years and my bro at 2.

I will when I can carry Grant again and he can crawl or walk. I feel weird just laying him on the floor and our bathroom is too small to keep a seat for him in there.

  • DS has his own room with aaaalll his toys in it and luckily the room is right between the living room and kitchen, which is where the bathroom is so most of the time he stays in his room playing while I go and I just leave the door open.

  • When Rowan wasn't crawling yet, I took her into the bathroom with me and just sat her on the floor. Now, I tend to put her in her crib or her swing and then go.

  • umm no and yes, I dont take her with me, I leave her where ever she is playing with her toys and I leave the door cracked so I can hear her. She follows me 80% of the time and spends the time taking toys from her room (across the hall) to the bathroom throwing them into the tub. She does this while I shower too. I love Saturdays when DH is home while I shower and I can do it in peace.

  • I leave her and my DS in the living room.  The bathroom is right off of it, so they usually follow.  Sometimes I am lucky.

  • Yes and No - it depends if I'm upstairs or downstairs...If I'm upstairs, I definitely bring him with me. However the bathroom is much bigger and I set him by the shut door and he plays with his bath toys. We haven't been able to find a baby gate to go on these stairs because of the railings being so oddly made, so if we're upstairs basically, he never is left alone. When we're downstairs, I just let him play with his toys, by the time I'm finished, he's found me or he's playing in the dogs water bowl

  • I totally do. Poor kid, lol.

If it's one of the bigger upstairs bathrooms I sit her on the floor in there with me. If it's the half bath she sits just outside the door with the door open. Hey, it keeps her from screaming the majority of the time.

ETA- Occasionally I will leave her in the room she's in (can't really crawl) and go if I know I'm going to be quick. Many times that results in crying though.

  • He only barely crawls right now (both of my kids have been late movers), so I just leave him with his toys.
