Introducing new solids/finger foods

We've introduced all the veggie and fruit purees and are now starting to introduce finger foods (noodles, toast, cheese, chicken, etc).  Are you ladies still waiting 3-4 days before introducing new foods?

Ha! That's funny because I feel behind when I read posts of what other Los younger than ds are eating.

  • we have never waited a set time before introducing new foods and depending on what we are eating she may get a couple new foods in one sitting.

  • I was very lax on the waiting.  It doesn't change the potential for allergies, it just helps you narrow down what could have caused an allergy.  If you know what you're feeding and can recall it if you need to, I don't see the issue.

  • Never waited....and feeding finger foods was a MAJOR pain at first, took mine liike 2 weeks to do anything but make a face of tourture while he got used to the idea of swallowing!!!  Good luck!

  • I continued to wait a couple days between new foods even then. They have so many things they can have, there isn't any reason to rush a new food. Any fruit and veggie can be made into a puree. Did you try beets, parsnips, various squashes, mango, papaya, etc? I still waited 2-3 days between until DS was over a year old.
