XP: Anyone using size 3 nipples?

So I pretty much ruined all my size 2 nipples (I forget them boiling on the stove). I have been considering moving him up to size 3 anyway, but I wasn't sure what the signs were. The pedi told me at his 2 month to move up to size 2. He did fine, so he's been on them for a while.

He eats really eager at first then gets bored. Is that a sign? Or should I wait until he acts frustrated?

    We bought 3's yesterday to use for their juice because they can't quite master the sippy cup yet. They seemed fine with it. Our 2's are all cut open though so that the rice in the formula can get through.

    We tried but they were too fast for him. I would just buy one pack and see how your LO does with them. If they're too fast, just go exchange them for the twos. If they're too fast, your LO will just spit out the formula/milk immediately and you'll have a mess.

    Wait...your LOs are drinking juice out of sippy cups?? Yikes, we must be wayyyy behind.....we're still on BM/formula only and size 1 nipples

    We're still on size ones too. Sippy cups aren't supposed to be used until 6 months at the earliest, so you're not behind. But, to each her own.

    Mine is the same. At first he acts like he wants to devour the bottle, but then sometimes he'll just chew on the nipple after awhile :) He has been on level 2 (avent) for quite some time now. I had tried using the playtex drop ins medium flow awhile back (i was testing out different bottles due to gas issues), but that seemed too fast. maybe it's worth trying again.

    We are just trying to get then used to them and I really can't stand to see people put anything other than formula/BM into a bottle for some reason. Plus our boys are only a week away from being 5 months old!

    ETA: We got the Nuby cups for 4 months up.

    Thanks guys! I tried the 3s and they are working. He didn't even spit up or choke. I was shocked.

    DD is on size 3 nipples now since she was getting annoyed with the size 2s.
