My DH and I found out we were expecting our first LO a little over 2 weeks ago. We were so excited and couldn't wait to tell everyone at Christmas. On Sunday, we told my DH's family and were planning on telling my family Christmas day. Unfortunately, early Christmas morning I woke up and went to the bathroom, passing some blood clots. Over the next few hours I started bleeding and ended up spending Christmas morning in the ER. They diagnosed me with a threatened miscarriage and sent me home. My bleeding continued and I ended up passing some tissue yesterday. I called my dr. and explained everything that the ER dr. had told me about the tests they ran. He said it sounded like the pregnancy had stopped growing. My hormone levels were only at 700 and I should be much higher (I would be 7 weeks). The ultrasound did show a small sac but no heartbeat. I went to the dr. this morning and he verified everything. I go for my D & C tomorrow morning... needless to say, I'm really nervous. This has been such a devastating experience. It's so hard to see my DH go through this as well. He wrote the sweetest song today. I know that I did the best that I could in the few short weeks that I knew I was expecting my LO and biologically speaking I understand the possibilities of what could have happened with the cells. The hardest part for me is the loss of everything that would have been... especially since we've waited so long to try for this precious baby.

So sorry you are going through this. I have my DandC tomorrow as well and wish you nothing but the best in the worse situation there is! Hope your recovery is quick and that it helps the emotional healing to begin!
