The screams

I was watching a vlog on YouTube about baltic amber teething jewelry and she stated that her DS had the screams in his first stages of teething. Saying that the gums hurt so bad that he would try and soothe them by chewing but it ended up in an abundance of frustration and fussiness. Has anyone heard of this? She said the pedi told her about it.

I think that DS has been having this for the past 2 days. He is absolutely miserable and when he tries to soothe his gums by chewing it seems to be hurting him worse and he belts out scream after scream. I am trying to be as natural as possible so Ive been using chamomille ice cubes, frozen wash cloths, and basic teething toys. These arent seeming to help. Is there a safe and natural numbing gel out there? [since oragel was deamed unsafe by the FDA]

We have one of those baltic amber necklaces for DS. He hasn't worn it long enough for us to see if it works. If anything, it makes him look real cute... hippy-cute.

Yeah, Ive heard an overall mixed review on them. Some swear by it and some say they are a joke. A small part of me thinks that the idea of it working is in a lot of these mom's heads. That being said, I havent bought one yet but Im seriously considering it given DS's discomfort.

    Thanks for the Hylands recommendation!

  • Babyganics has a bezocaine fee teething gel. I haven't tried it yet but am planning on it. He hasn't got to the point of needing ask the time numbing. I remember with my daughter orajel was my bff...sigh. How the times have changed

  • SIL bought one for Jacqueline and I put it in her yesterday. I don't think she is teething but I wanted to try it on her to see what it looks like.
J was so incredibly fussy within 10 minutes of having it on. I fed her, changed her, tried to put her down for a nap and she cried for it all. I took the necklace off and she napped and was back to normal again. The necklace was not tight, but she wasn't having it.

Where is this babyganics sold at? I also found that earth's best has a gel as well but I couldnt find it in the stores in my area [walmart, target, walgreens]. I didnt see babyganics either. I have a feeling it might be at BBB or BRU..?
