Has anyone ever done the Master Cleanse? My coworker did it in the beginning of the year, loved it, and is going to do it again. I'm thinking about doing it as well. I feel like not only would a cleanse be good, but 10 days of not eating crap and not snacking would be good for me and possibly help me break my chocolate habit. I've done a little bit of research online and it seems to have very positive feedback but I was wondering if anyone here has done it. My goals would be a "system reset" of sorts and help in breaking current eating habits.

Re: s/o Eating Healthy - Cleanse?
I've done it before. I don't recommend it.
I'm going to do Dr. Oz 3 day detox. The reality is I have a baby and a busy life. I can't commit to do something that requires me on a toliet for the first two days.
A friend of mine who is studying to be a nurse did a juice cleanse type thing. She made juice drinks out of only fresh veggies for I think 2 or 3 days? She drank as much as she wanted, but only of fresh foods. She said it didn't make her lose weight, it just helped some constipation issues she was having - but did not give her diarrhea like the cayenne pepper drink does.
She tries to do it about once every 4 months or so I think and she said she feels great after. She is a natural healthy person - into organic, etc. and since she doesn't limit herself or her calories, etc. I think this is a healthier option?
She would do bananas and strawberries with kale I think for a breakfast smoothie and eat fresh fruit like oranges as a snack and then do another smoothie for lunch and dinner.
I've done a "diet jumpstart" a few times before. I guess you could call it a "cleanse".
It's 3 days long. You can eat per day:
2 oranges (required)
2 eggs (required)
64 oz water (required)
Unlimited lean protein
Unlimited green veggies (but not peas)
(I always add in a small drizzle of fat-free salad dressing, because I can't do plain lettuce.)
I think I've done this three times total, and I've lost about 7 pounds each time. When I'm done, I feel so great that I want to keep eating healthy.
Personally, I don't think I could do a 10-day cleanse. I just do not have the will to go the distance with that one. I'd much rather do the above 3 day thing, or just smash straight into protion control and healthy eating. (which is what I'll be doing starting Jan. 1)

Thanks for the information, I'll definitely have to do more reading on it. If I do it, it would be after their birthday since it's NYE next week, then their birthday party with my side, then their birthday party with my ILs.
But Lancy, what you said is how I am - "When I'm done I feel so great that I want to start eating healthy". When I've gotten into a good diet/exercise routine in the past it's been easier to keep it going but with the two babies, work, and then other family/friend events I just can't find time to get into a good rhythm. I feel like a cleanse would be something easy to do - I could just make a big batch in a couple of minutes and be done with food prep for myself for the day - and 10 days would be a long enough time to break certain bad habits (chocolate every day!) and get me to a good baseline that I can build up from.
Of course, if it's not healthy I don't want to do it. But I have a LOT of weight to lose and I feel like I need something extreme to give me a kick in the butt and get me started. I want to be healthier.
