HELP!
My kid WON'T eat veggies. I seriously can't believe I'm saying this because I used to always think that parents who said this just didn't offer a balanced diet. Well, now I am "one of those parents" and I KNOW it's not due to me not offering/promoting a love for good and healthy food.
DS never took to purees so after 2 weeks of fighting with him, we went to BLW. It went SO well in the beginning. I offered only fruits/veggies at every meal and he was totally in to it. Well, then I began to introduce meats, breads, etc. and he will have nothing to do with vegetables. He LOVES meats and will eat that before anything else on his tray. If I even so much as put broccoli or peas on his tray he won't touch it. In fact, often times, he throws it over the edge of his tray. I have tried preparing them many different ways (roasted/steamed, plain/seasoned, etc.) and nothing really helps. I've tried to do 2-3 days where I ONLY offer meals with veggies and he just won't eat or will madly scream until I take him out of his seat and we stop the meal.
What would you do (e.g., what CAN I do?).... I'm stumped on this one.
Re: Veggies!
I can't remember the name of the cookbook (my ex-friend had it for her son), but it's tons of recipes where you use veggies that are snuck in to the meals. One that she made all the time was home made chicken nuggets. The breaded part has the veggies in it. Maybe that would help! Sneak the veggies in!
Edit - I'm pretty sure she got it at Barnes and Noble
