Support needed

I was due on the 25 go back to the dr Monday to set up induction....in the mean time I have been given a fever that won't go away along with a horrible cough and cold...the baby is so low that every time I cough I think The baby is going to fall out...worst timing ever...my husbands been great but still not enough everything is just so aggregating

Re: Support needed

  • Drink lots of tea and keep breathing! Here's hoping you'll recover in time for the labor. If it's any consolation I was worried about having the flu because my husband had it last week and I somehow managed to dodge it *knocks on wood*.

I was reading up on stories of other women who gave birth while sick, and one woman said the coughing helped with the pushing, so there's a silver lining. The coughing might also help labor go off without an induction, so there's that too.

    Good luck!

  • I'm sorry! If you have a fever and cough maybe its developed into a secondary infection. I would try and get on some antibiotics before baby comes. Good luck!

  • I am sorry! The cold/flu makes it worse! Have you tried a warm shower ... or being in the bathroom breathing in the warm, moist air after DH is out of the shower?

My mom used to make me jello when i was sick and would have me drink it when still warm / hot. Soothed the throat ...

    Hope you feel better soon!
