Ped said too early to CIO?

I asked our ped about sleep advice at his four month well baby and he said he's not ready for CIO yet. I wasn't planning on starting sleep training yet but I was bracing myself to be told to. Anyone else's doc say this?

    Our pediatrician didn't even ask about his sleeping pattern, so I'm guessing he wasn't concerned.

    Mine said 4 months at the earliest, but even then, do what's right for our family. This was at her 2 month check. At the 4 month she didn't even ask about sleep.

    Ours is the same. He did say we could try cereal to help with reflux though. I still think I'll wait. I'm kinda sad we have to fire him.

    I've never asked and my pedi's never offered sleep advice. And if he DID tell me to let DS2 CIO at this age I'd ignore him.
