So even before I got my BFP I struggled finding time to exercise. Before kids I would do crossfit almost daily *and I miss it so much!*. The problem is that my husband is a firefighter with a rotating schedule so I can't commit to particular day. I work 10 hr days so I can have a day off during the week but once mid week and weekends doesn't seem like it will be enough. And I'm so tired when I get home from work. I borrowed a treadmill from my parents to use during my pregnancy but have I used it? Not even once! It's pathetic! I'm getting really annoyed with the weight i've gained too...so depressing.
How do I find time to work out? I don't Although when I was trying to lose weight, I found that changing my diet worked so much better than working out. I used Weight Watchers and by changing what I ate, I lost quite a bit of weight and didn't work out at all. I'm not meaning this to sound "snooty", but that's what I found was best.
I would get up 30 minutes before j and workout on the Xbox. If he woke up early then I would do it after he went to bed. Once you get in a routine it just becomes part of your life GL!
Married my best friend 01/01/09
BFP#1 05/06/10. Jarebear born 12/29/10.
BFP#2 06/22/12 (DH's birthday). EDD 02/23/13. M/C and D&C 08/09/12
Diet changes really can make a HUGE difference. If you can't find a time to work out that's a good start. You can also find little ways to work out during the day. Take the stairs if possible, go for a walk on your lunch break, do toe raises while you're making dinner, do crunches during commercials. You'd be amazed how much you can squeeze in that way.
Can you get on the treadmill at night after dinner and after LO is in bed. That would help you work off dinner too so that the food isn't just sitting in your stomach all night. That's probably my biggest downfall I eat late and then just watch TV and go to bed.
I got an elliptical for xmas and really want to excercise more, but first I have to assemble the thing. uggh
I run after the kids are in bed. Or during naptime on the weekend. If you're not exercising regularly now and you're pg, I'd be hesitant to do much more than walking!
I find it hard to make it out to a gym or class too, so I work out at home. I mostly go running outdoors with DS in the jogging stroller, but sometimes in the past I've done workout videos at home too. I used to work out before work, but I recently changed my schedule to 7 to 4, so now I run after I get home.
Ditto pps though...at this stage in your pregnancy, any gentle activity, even walking is great, so go easy on yourself and don't worry too much about the weight until you deliver.
Once I get cleared at my 6 week PP visit I plan to do the 30 minute shred video again. I used to do it in the morning, but will now probably do it at night since my mornings are completely unpredictable. Once it's nicer out I will also start to run again since I can take one or both of the kids with me.

It doesn't really work like that. Exercise doesn't help you digest your food, and you're not really using calories that you just consumed anyway. For optimal nutrient partitioning (using protein to build your muscles and using body fat to fuel your exercise), it's actually better to exercise BEFORE you eat. I can't imagine doing any serious exercise on a full stomach anyway. I would end up throwing up (which would probably be effective though!).
Op, I don't find time to exercise, so I feel your pain. Unfortunately I just haven't made it a priority in the last 2 years (and I doubt the next two will be much better). Any chance you can work out during your lunch hour?
I take Griffin to the daycare at the gym for an hour 2-3 times per week and just do classes there. But I am SAHM so that's not too difficult for me. Can you work out on your lunch hour at all?
I also used 30-day Shred from Jillian Michaels when I went to lose the baby weight from last time, and it was amazing! I only did it 3-4 times per week (during naps) and it helped me get back down to my pp weight (and then some).
I don't work out lol. I do squats when I'm holding B and try to do crunches during tv commercials. Maybe once the snow melts I'll take the kids on daily walks but right now I just eat donuts lol.

I exercise myself and my wallet by going shopping.
1-2 hours of consistent walking/carrying bags really puts a sweat on.
Try to repeat 1-3 times per week.
Remember to have a snack - a bun, chocolate bar or whatever and something to drink mid session to keep the high paste going
