My honest opinion is that Parker is more of a boys name...
I liked Parker for a boy but H has a wicked Boston accent and would most likely pronounce the name PaH-KaH lol

I have a friend with a little girl named Parker. When she first told me I was turned off, but its really grown on me. I think it's cute for a girls name, but if you're not sold on it, then don't use it. It is your baby too.
Do you like it? That's equally as important as your DH liking it, and a whole lot more important than your ILs opinions.
I don't really like it on a girl, but it's my nephew's name, so it's all boy to me.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
I think it's a boys name! But I don't dislike it....I am torn on the name. There's no girls name I love, love, love right now so I'm just trying to see the reaction on the board. I think the reaction's typically 50/50 of folks liking it for a girl.
And yes, I do not give two sheets what the ILs think! DH will support me in whatever we pick so no worries there.
I don't know how much you are attached to the middle name Bernice. If I were to use a gender crossing first name I would probably use a pretty feminine middle name in case she chooses to go by that when she is older.
I understand that Bernice is a girl name... but it still makes me think of my FIL who goes by "Bernie." I suck at middle names though, so I can give no help there other than constructive criticism.

Oh my gosh, thank you for pointing out accents. My family all have wicked Rhode Island accents and that's something I should take into consideration. Anything ending with an "r" should be taken out of the running!!
haha I'm glad you understand...it's funny because I do pronounce my Rs so it sounded great to me..then I said hmm how would H say it...oh crap that won't work! lol
My Mom's side of the family is all from Boston (Dorchester, originally) and they also have major accents so those names ending in R would be butchered!

What do you think about it? I actually don't mind it. I don't think I'd use it but your name may remind people of the actress Parker Posey...she wasin all those funny movies like Best In Show, Waiting For Guffman, and a Mighty Wind. She's cute so I guess my connotations aren't negative.

Yep, that was my thinking, too. I don't mind the name, but Parker Moselee and Parker Posey are PRETTY similar.
