FTM here ... I still haven't bought DD a high chair yet. I was going to get one for her very soon! I know most of us registered or bought high chairs a long time ago. Way befor we really knew what we were getting ourselves into. LOL!
Anyway, for those of you that have actually used your high chairs already what do you like or dislike about them? Would you buy it again? Or go with something differant?
I was going to post this on the "Nursery and Baby Gear" board, but it seems like most of the bumpies over there are still preggo.
I was looking at the Graco Contempo. I like that it folds really small! But it is still a "stand alone" chair. I'm not a fan of the ones that attach to other chairs, etc.

EDD 10/15/16
At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
Re: High Chairs
Check out Amazon and read reviews! That's how I buy almost everything!
We have two, and I love both. We have a traditional wood one that I love because it's not some hideous plastic monster and generally blends with the decor in my house. Might sound silly, but sometimes having my house filled with ugly baby gear drives me nuts. Downfalls, it doesn't recline at all.
We have this guy too and it's great because it rolls super smoothly, reclines pretty far back, is super sturdy, and is height adjustable too.

Proud Mama to cleft cutie
I'd prefer one with a recliner and will probably buy a new one next yr when he really starts eating food. Am not sure yet....

Not sure where to go from here.
We have a high chair for Jacqueline and she loves it. We put some toys on the table while we are at the table and she plays away and chats with us and generally has a great time.
The only thing I don't love about it is how wide the stance is when it's all set up. It's definitely cumbersome...but I would buy it again for sure.
We have a pub height dinner table and the high chair is the perfect height at the top setting but can also be dropped down lower if DH or I are eating breakfast in the living room and she's in her chair.
We've had this chair for a while now, great purchase.

https://www.amazon.com/Stokke-Tripp-Trapp-Highchair-Walnut/dp/B001D1505A
Best features:
Grows with baby
You can pull baby right up to the dining table to eat with the rest of the family
Matches my furniture!
Has a small footprint
Well built and sturdy
Only con is that the assessories such as the baby seat and cushion are separate so the whole set adds up ($300+)
We have this https://www.amazon.com/Stokke-279802-HandySitt-Black/dp/B008KY9D3I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1356729693&sr=8-2&keywords=minui+handysitt and it's worked out really well.
DS1 used from his first solid meal at 6 months until he started using a booster at 2.5. Will get it out soon for DS2

This is what we have and we love it also.
We have the Fisher price space saver high chair. I really like it because we have a small kitchen and it just goes right on our extra chair instead of having something else take up space. DD seems to really like it too!
