I'll be going back to work shortly after LO arrives. This is our first and we've only been here about a year. Anyone have any good recommendations for a day care provider? We're open to centers or in-home.

Re: Daycare recommendations?
Having worked in several daycares throughout college and after, and having my son in a couple different daycares (his 1st 2 experiences were awfullllll) I can just reccommend that you go with your gut.
All schools have great teachers and not-so-great teachers. Make sure when you tour a facility that you have an oppurtunity to meet with the teachers that will directly be working with your child. A lot of parents try and schedule tours after they get off work, but by then most lead teachers are gone for the day.
When looking at centers think about longevity as well. When looking for an infant of course your most worried about finding loving teachers who will snuggle your baby for hours and meet all their care needs. But, if you're planning on having your child in daycare past 1-1 1/2 ask about the other programs as well. Some centers are more education focused than others. If you're spending the money, you might as well make sure your child is going to be 100% ready for kindergarten when they leave.
If you need help thinking of questions to ask I have been on both sides (as a parent touring daycares and as a director giving tours) - and could help you - just PM me
