22mm follie

I went in for CD11 monitoring today and I have one follie at 22mm the nurse said I will likely trigger tonight or tomorrow and iui the day after trigger. She did not call me tonight so I will likely trigger tomorrow and iui on Saturday! I'm concerned that the follie will get too ripe tho. Anyone else have one this big? And I'm confused about the trigger too they have me trigger and iui the very next day. Getting nervous for round 2!

  • Sorry, I didn't see your question. My RE says follicles can get up to 28mm but that has never been the case for me. From my understanding what is more important is the timing of your ovulation, the thickness of your uterine lining, and that it is at least 20mm. It just has to be mature and release at the right time. Good luck!

  • Both of my pregnancies (DD, and now this one) were triggered with a follie at 22mm. I did the trigger the night that we saw the 22mm follie and then my IUI was the next day.  With DD I think the IUI was about 22 hrs post trigger, with this pregnancy, the IUI was 16 hrs post trigger.  I know there is a wide range of times out there for doing the IUI, but this was the range both my doctor and I felt comfortable with.  Out of 4 IUIs, I got pregnant 3 times (one was a c/p).  I think 22mm is perfect! :-)
