What brand of prenatal pills do you use? My doctor knows that I have a hard time taking pills and suggested that I try the chewable ones. Anyone tried them before? We have been trying to get pregnant for 5 months and still nothing. I starting to get discouraged
I have a very fertal family and I starting to think something is wrong with me. Everyone in my family had conceived first try. I know that everyone is different but its just discouraging.
Sorry kinda needed to vent too.....
Re: Prenatal pills
I know how you feel. My sister already has three kids and she's younger than I. And she wasn't even trying.
But I've been taking the Spring Valley from Walmart pnv. It's not chewable. But I have a hard time with swallowing pills too and this one's easy for me.
Good luck!

I use the prenatal vitamins that are the Whole Foods brand, 365. Been using them for nearly 4 years now (throughout two pregnancies and a year of breastfeeeding each) and have never felt sick from them.
I'm sorry that you are getting frustrated. I know when you are ready to have a baby that the wait to get pregnant seems excruciatingly long, no matter how long it takes. If you haven't started already, I would recommend charting your fertility cycle each month and keeping a record of it so that in the event you end up seeing a dr. to help with fertility you have this information to give them. Good Luck.
I take the gummy ones daily, the Vitafusion ones. They are super yummy, and don't give me heartburn like the others seem to do... I think the only thing they are lacking compared to pill form is iron. They have less iron in them, but you can get a separate supplement for that.
ETA: Also, I had to hide my PNVs when the fam came over so they wouldn't start asking questions. All my friends and family can get pregnant by accident at the drop of a hat.

I take big horsey pill ones, lol.
If you take the chewables you may need an additional supplement as the chewables don't have the recommended dose of folic acid, at least the ones I looked at didn't.
I would just take the pill with a big glass of water and food.

Welcome!
I take Spring Valley, too. No problems swallowing them, and I haven't noticed any queasiness.
GL!
I use the spring valley brand from Walmart too. I have been taking them for almost 4 months and they are easy to swallow and seem to have the same amounts of vitamins as the name brand/prescription ones. My friend did the chewable prenatals when she was pregnant and she said they tasted horrible. If you can I would recommend finding ones you can swallow if they taste as bad as she said they do.
I feel you my only sibling has had a baby and so have most of my friends the question you get why haven't you had kids yet comes up its hard dealing with TTC and the questions. I started bugging DH for a baby since a year after we got married that was 12 years ago almost.
If you have Kaiser they have good ones for about $5 and the bottle lasts about 3-4+ months cant remember how many are in the bottle.
