Best "kid" quote ever on Christmas....

Only other "moms" would understand---but this year has by far been the BEST EVER in terms of the whole Christmas experience for the kids. My oldest who is 4 truly was in to it for the first time this year. While opening up his presents and really loving them he goes "Santa really loves me...."

It was possibly the sweetest moment ever from him. He's so sweet anyways, but this truly was awesome.

Oh my gosh that is cute!

We got DS the Melissa and Doug piano, last night before bed he starts playing it and singing "Springsteen" by Eric Church LOLOL

I hear you, yesterday was a great day. My son really got into the spirit, from the cooking, to the lights, to the gifts to the movies... this one is going in the books as one of the best ever for me.

My 5 year old is at work with me today. My 2 year old is happily watching Cinderella next to me. My 5 year old asked for a pen and paper. I thought he was drawing a picture. Instead, he walked up to me with a "chart". A bunch of boxes he drew. He said "each box is for a different day- mon/tues/wed. If I'm good for all 7 days, I get another present from Santa." I said, "didn't you get enough new presents from Santa yesterday?" He put his hand on his hip and said "mom, please, you can never get enough toys from santa!" Out of the mouths of babes! And he is grateful for what he got - he was saying that yesterday- it was just a funny quote today!

My oldest will be 5 in March and she was so excited for Christmas. She is so cute. She would open a gift at my ILs and would be so surprised and say, "oh, I always wanted this!! then turn to me and say, Mom what is this?" Too funny.

My favourite moment has been DD1 asking santa for pebbles. Not sure if you have them in the US, but they're a candy like m&ms.

That's all she asked for, and although santa brought other things too, she went straight for the candy. Had a few. Offered me some and asked if DD2 was old enough for some.

This is the first year my daughter actually understood what was going on and I was looking forward to seeing her face light up when she came downstairs. Instead, her face fell as she looked at the empty plate and mug that held a whoopie pie and milk for Santa. She starting crying and could care less about her presents. Even After showing her the plate full of whoopie pies we had left, she still pouted. It didn't dawn on me until later that maybe she was disappointed that she missed Santa.

My oldest turned 3 a couple days before Christmas, and he had a blast! He's already disenchanted with getting clothes as gifts. No interest whatsoever. On Christmas morning he opened a present from my brother that had 2 t-shirts in it. He said, "It's clothes." threw them on the ground, and proclaimed, "That's the problem!" (which is a something my husband says, he got it from his uncle.)

Also, he was going through his stocking, found a LifeSavers sucker, and said, "It's a donut!"

Then found another one, said "Two suckers." then pulled out a handful of fruit snacks and promptly threw the suckers on the ground. "Fruit snacks!!!!"
