LO, shots and fever...

in August 2012 Moms
LO had his 4month shots today. He has been really fussy and is now running a little fever 99.8. I gave him Tylenol a little bit ago and am going to continue to check him.

Now, he gets swaddled at night, should I not swaddled him tonight so he doesn't overheat? Not sure what to do as I am a FTM.

    Maybe you should just put something lighter than what you usually do underneath? Howell had his shots today too and I'm trying to keep his norms in place so he feels more secure. He is swaddled at night as well. He's really really fussy.

    The thing is, he gets double swaddled. Meaning, he is swaddled in a AA blanket then a Swaddled Me. He breaks out of the swaddled so easily, but sleeps like crap without them.

    I would still do what he is used to and just check his neck from time to time to decide if he is too hot. Maybe keep your thermostat a little lower than usual if you're worried he'll overheat.

    I was in the same situation with my lo's two month shots and I am sure I will be there again tomorrow when I go for her four month. Last time I just kept her naked under her swaddle and checked on her often. If I hadn't swaddled her I'm sure she wouldn't have slept and would've been more upset than she already was.
