How did it go?

So how did everyones first Christmas with LO go?

DS got SO many toysclothes and money.  I don't honestly have enough room in our house for all of these toys, so we are going to have to rotate them. :)  But everyone was so generous.  Even though DS has a coldcough he still had a great time. And loves all his new things.  I already am excited for next year. :)

    We got a very reasonable amount of toys for DS... some big stuff, some little stuff. Lot's of noisy stuff haha. We didn;t get him anything besides a couple board books so that helped.

     DS was awesome all day. He's usually kind of iffy around crowds, but he had a great time at lunch with my extended family. just sitting on the floor playing and looking around. Then at IL's he was mostly happy too - even though it was getting later in the evening and he was tired. I couldn't be more pleased with how the day went....except that I got my stupid period back as a christmas gift. grrrrrrrrrr

    Busy crazy, fun and tiring !! We started with gifts under the tree at 7am and it was after 7pm when the family left. All my kids did great even though they were so tired. Lo loved eating the paper

    My two year old was a riot, next year with a 1.5 year old, a 3 year old and a 9 year old should be interesting.

    Much better than I expected! DD was in good spirits in spite of the travel, staying in a hotel, and lots of people she doesn't know. She had fun watching her cousins run around and she got more gifts than we expected.

    My LO was starting to get sick too but did so well with only one tiny nap and traveling.

    He got a good amount of toys.  My H and I only got him like 3 toys because we knew the rest of the family would get him toys as well.  He also got a few cute outfits.  Next year will be a ton of fun because our LO's will all be walking and able to tear open their presents!

    DD has been teething for the past week and made no exceptions for the holidays. She was a fussy uncomfortable baby. She wouldn't go with anyone except her dad or me. And to top it all off my MIL was a terror. She insisted that my DD open all her presents despite the fact that I repeatedly told her no. Then when I confronted her about it after the family left and in private she had the nerve to start an argument with me that ruined the rest of my day.

    Sadly, I'm glad it's over. But I still look forward to next year when dd is a little older.
