I think DD was WAY overstimulated over the holidays?

Hi ladies! I am at my wits end here!  I know we had a lot of visiting and going house to house so I am blaming it on her being overstimulated but OMG! Saturday, we went to hubby's family's Christmas, sooo many people in such a small apartment, a couple of sick kids there.  Sunday, we went to my Grandma's house and there was a TON of people crammed into the house, people coming and going and her seeing cousins she hasn't seen in a long time.  She was so happy on Christmas morning and then we went to my Mom's house and she was super excited! My Mom bought her a Baby Alive and she was sitting in a chair undoing all the stuff that keeps Baby Alive in her box.  Cadance was sitting at Moms feet and it fell right into her face! Well from that moment on, she kept saying, I hate Christmas! I hate the holidays! I hate Baby Alive..THAT is all it took! So needless to say, the rest of the day, she was not in the mood for too much..Is anyone elses 3 1/2, almost 4 year old acting like this? Mom said its probably because she has been on the go non-stop, seeing people and kid she only sees once or twice a year but geez! I never would have thought it would affect her like that..poor thing :(

  • SS was just all over the place.  Being super loud, not listening to us, and overly energetic.

I think each kid deals with it differently.  With all the rarely seen family members, and commotion, and running from house to house, it doesn't surprise me that our kids are acting out. I remember do the same thing when I was young.. my poor parents :)

  • Right there with you!  We just got back from spending a week with family (with us staying there there were 10 normally in the house with up to 25 multiple days).  DDs were relatively okay there although they had their moments.  However, they were absolutely HORRID on the 4 hour flight back last night.  They were acting more like 18 months than almost 4 and they were awful after we got home too.  I'm hoping they'll get back to their normal selves soon.  However, grandma is coming to town tomorrow so that won't help matters I'm sure.
