Let's hear them after the holidays...

Re: Judgment Day, right?

  • I'm judging MIL... SIL 2 is having a lot of problems getting pregnant, had to have felopian tube surgery, Clomid, etc, yet she still says to SIL 1 who just got married in Oct, "why aren't you pregnant yet?".

  • I judge the adult who took a picture of her pile o gifts and posted it on Feb. Said pile included 2 Coach purses, 2 Coach wristlettes, alcohol, and cash. That's all awesome stuff, but it may not be to show a thief what they could rob from you. Plus, it's just douchey.

My MIL did that to us when we were having huge issues and after my 1st miscarraige...boo to her.

  • People who don't call in sick for work when they are sick.

"I'm so glad you are a trooper and all!  Man we really wouldn't have survived  the day without you and your air-born water droplets of germ.   Golly gee! I would really love your sore throat and fever.  Oh BTW, our customers love it too...  How about a little phlegm with that cream puff?

Not only are they sick but they love to tell you how sick they are, and what a martyr they are for coming in.

I blame my work for this though, they have a policy that if you call in sick/late/child is sick 9 times in a rolling calendar year you are fired.

Especially when you're working with food, that's a horrible policy to enforce.  Is it strange I want a cream puff now?

You should try a profiterole!  They are one of my favorite.  It is a cream puff but I add a little rum to the whip cream and then you serve it in a chocolate sauce.  Mmm!

MH's work has the same policy. If you have over 5 absences it can affect your eligibility for raises, promotions, etc. He also works with food. It grosses me out regularly.

I judge people who regularly buy coffee instead of making it at home. I have a friend who goes to Starbucks at least 3 mornings a week. Bush please. Just admit you are a coffee drinker and buy a Keurig. The amount of money she wastes in coffee and gas disgusts me.

  • I judge my materialistic friends "who have three little ones but live a life like they don't have kids and don't actually parent their children". Quotes because mobile is stupid and won't allow parenthesis. These said "parents" had a mountain of gifts like five feet high for those kids. Enjoy them kids, because in the next three months....your parents will be selling them on Craigslist for either dirt cheap or for more than they paid for them....and use the money they get on new fun things for themselves, like they ALWAYS do. But it's great they got the picture of the tree with all of the gifts to post on FB and show everyone what "great parents" and "how lucky" their kids are.

I also judge them because I used to nanny for them and they told me a bunch of lies when they let me go. Saying they decided to put the kids in preschool and hire a retired teacher for when they weren't in preschool. Too bad I was still in contact with their second nanny and she told me that they just had her work more days and then hired the homeschool kid next door to work for dirt cheap the other days. She is hardly keeping an eye on the kids and they are trashi the house. Ha! Get what you pay for! Meanwhile, they were using and abusing the nanny, and she was on the fence about finding a new job. I convinced her to quit. The "parents" were shocked and pissed, but have no idea I was involved. Nanny thanked me for helping her make the decision and said the naughty children were starting to rub off on her well behaved kids. The "parents" switch or lose childcare less than every six months. The oldest is five and he has probably had 15 caretakers. You can only imagine how crazy their household is with no structure.

I go to Starbucks at least once every day that I work. I also buy my lunch every day that I work. Yes, it is probably wasteful, but I don't get out much and live in the middle of nowhere, so I tend to take advantage of conveniences when I can. I dont like coffee made in a keurig. My fuel consumption is also ridiculous because of where I live. Sorry if that disgusts you. :p

If I wanted Starbucks, I would have to drive 30 miles away. If I wanted Dunkin Donuts, I would have to drive 55 miles. Coffee in a pot for me!

I certainly don't expect anyone to spend a fortune on my child, but he's your ONE grandchild and you can't even put a little thought or time into something he would enjoy for Christmas??

  • I judge our neighbors that own a huge landscaping/plowing company.  They drove past me shoveling at least 6 times this morning and each time slowed down and waved at me struggling with the 2ft drifts.  It took me 3 hours and I can't move my arms.  It would have taken them 3 minutes....stupid bastar9s.

  • I judge all smokers. I get that it's an addiction, and I have never had an addiction myself, so I shouldn't judge. But I judge them because I have seen soooo many smokers throwing their cigs out their car windows as if the whole world is their damn ash tray. So whenever I meet a smoker, I automatically assume that they do this, and I immediately dislike them. It's not a fair assumption, but I can't help it. My mind automatically goes there.

I do not like coffee - any kind, any where. But we do eat out more often than I care to admit for dinner, and I know exactly how much that is costing us compared to making dinner/eating at home. It is embarrassing, but yet we don't change it. New Year's resolution!

  • I judged the staff at the doctor's office yesterday. There were two women with infants who waited at least 3 hours to be seen. None of the kids were older than a month. I am all for first come first served, but really, they should have called those babies in right away. There is office policy and then there is common sense, and I would be ok with waiting longer if those babies get out of a germy waiting room. Plus, with all that crying I am pretty sure it would be a winwin.

But it's not nothing to show for it, it makes me happy and more productive. When they have buy one get one deals I buy myself 2 and stick one in my fridge for an iced coffee the next day. If MHs home he makes me specialty coffees but otherwise I go to Sbux. Everyone gets me gift cards and I buy the giftcard deals off Amazon local and Livingsocial and with their rewards points you can get free drinks and flavors. Lo calls it "moo moos" because she gets Horizon milk boxes there and E asks if he can get a "milkshake" from there as a treat at Target lol.

My MIL is douchey like that too with every person we know struggling with fertility. But I think my SIL is worse. Her SIL struggled for years to get pregnant. Years. Her twin sister got pregnant right away and has a 2.5 year old. She's finally pregnant and due next month. At dinner the other night SIL was talking about how she and the twin sister had planned for this sister to be pregnant at the same time the twin was but "you failed." Seriously? How could you say something so insensitive?

I super judge the lack of parenting on my BIL and SIL's part anyway. My SIL basically ignores the kids except when she's complaining about how much video gaming they do. Except she lives her life on Facebook, so it's not like she sets the best example.

  • Oh please. I'm not up in arms, I'm just judging. It really doesn't affect my life if you want to spend your money on coffee, nor does it affect yours if I poke fun at you. I don't begrudge you any time to yourself or treat experiences. Buying coffee "at least once a day" doesn't seem to me like a treat, though. Even if that does only cost you $15 a week, that's still 50% more than my internet bill every month. I can't wrap my mind around shelling out that kind of cash for something where there are so many cheaper alternatives. I would feel frivolous and wouldn't get the enjoyment out of it that others clearly do.

I used to smoke, and it was a horrible habit. Once I found out I was pregnant, I quit. I know a lot of women who start back up again after giving birth. I can't say I don't understand it, because it is a tough habit to kick. I still have moments I crave it. I don't every want to smoke again, but that addictive quality wants to bring me in on occasion. I took a drag a few months ago just to ensure I never wanted to smoke again, and it definitely confirmed my choice to never join the cigarette parade again.

Where do you live that you spend 10 a month on Internet? I got a special promo deal for the cheapest Internet from some crappy local company and I'm paying 30. So I spend less on my Sbux than I do for my Internet, does that make it better? Also I'm judging my phone for autocapitalizing Internet, wtf?
  • My friend (more like an acquaintance now, but we used to be closer) likes to brag on fb and to the world how "blessed" she is by posting pictures of all the material items she buys.  Oh, I mean to say, she's so "spoiled by her husband", which she's not; she's spending the inheritance money but saying it's her husband buying these items for her.  No one cares if you buy it or your husband does- there's no judgment in that; I just can't stand she's so name brand hory and materialistic, and on top of that, shows it off to the world.  "Hey, look at what I have that you can't afford!" She's also the one who brags about having further education, but in the same breath openly admits (and proud) she cheated her way through most of her schooling.

I think Kcups are spendy too. I have our monthly coffee as a line item on our budget and it gives me the guilts. I broke it down per cup and it was bad, like 0.60 per kcup vs. 0.14 per cup of Trader Joe's grounds. I justify it to myself that the keurig was free. Sometimes when I am feeling extra tightwaddy I will buy the TJ's and use the eco-kcup, but I always get chunks in my coffee and it pisses me off.

I with you pear, I am cheap. I make my own coffee and bring my own lunch to work every day. I go to Starbucks maybe twice a month. In my cheap arse opinion kcups are spendy too, but I make terrible coffee. I asked for them for Christmas and now have like a 6 month supply. I also dye my own hair because I can' t stand to pay salon prices.

The eco- kcup pisses me off every time I use it too. I consider my kcups one of my slurges too. I' m sure I waste money on other things though. Booze. Dog sweaters.

Ha! Well, it's not like you can make those at home. Slightly different. We all have our vices, though. I do enjoy a cartful of tacky shits from the thrift store.

  • The nearest starbucks is about an hour(ish) from me. I have some anytime I can. Sometimes I even get two and save one for later. But it's never more than once or twice a month. I am sure it would be more if there was one closer.

Our internet only costs $25 a month.

So wasn't actually there but it's being talked about amongst family members currently.

I judge a relative for letting her kid lick snow off of people's boots because she doesn't want to tell her no. I get not wanting to bust out no for every minor infraction but redirect the kid, distract her, put the darn shoes away, do something. Be a freaking parent! Gross.gross.gross.

ETA: I want a keurig for my birthday and if the coffee isn't awesome I'm blaming you guys :P
