Yeast infections

I know some of the things that cause them, but what's most typical? How long does it take for the symptoms to be evident? I'm pretty sure I have one and I'm just trying to pinpoint the culprit.

    Antibiotics can cause them.  Have you been on any recently?

    I"m not sure...but I know when I was pregnant..my DH would just look at me and I'd get one!!! 

    The only times I ever had yeast infections was when I was pregnant and had sex.  I knew pretty soon after..I would be so itchy and cottage cheese like discharge.

    Nope. The only other time I got one that was clearly what caused it.

    Started feeling this on Monday... wore super skinny jeans that day, could that have caused this?

    I've heard tight jeans are associated with yeast infections (is that an urban legend?)  Maybe your system was a little off anyway and the jeans pushed you over the edge?

    I'd agree with Coffee here.  A yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of yeast that is naturally-occuring in your body.  The overgrowth can be exacerbated by pregnancy hormones, antibiotic use, an overly warm, moist environment, any number of things (or a combination).

    Yeast infections are the worst.

    DH and I had sex a few days before that... would that be more likely? If this is caused by oral, how do I clean out his mouth so I don't get itchy from some special attention ;)
