About bringing kids to Christmas with a cold?
Well, our family was the only one at Christmas NOT sick.  Well, out of DH's 3 step-siblings, I think 1 family was not sick, but 2 of them had 1 or more person under the weather.  Also SIL has mono and her son was feeling yucky too.
You guessed it.  Now we are all hacking, sniffling...  Ahh!!  What a way to Christmas break.  Our first cold of the season (which is a plus!).

Re: Remember the Christmas sickness post?
Damn you! Even with a runny nose I can take. It's the hacking & coughing that drive me crazy! And... Taylor has a snotty nose and the other 2 are pretty good. Poor DH and I that got it which makes it more annoying.
I took her to the pedi last week because I was concerned it was something more. The pedi assured me it's a cold and since she goes to daycare, I can pretty much expect her to constantly be sick. I know my SAHM cousin is upset that her kids are sick now but we were really supposed to miss Christmas because of a cold? I SAH last year and she still got colds.
PS if it was anything else I wouldn't have brought her. In fact, I took her to the pedi the day before the party just to be sure I wasn't exposing the other kids to anything awful. I feel like colds are just a really sucky part of life
I was actually thinking about all of this as I was taking our tree down. As mildly annoyed that we are sick, if we were sick, we would have still went to Christmas too. It is just the coincedence that it was a post before the hoilday came. MIL would never let someone miss a holiday unless we were on our death bed.
