Daddy's Boy

Hi,
My son is 17 months old and I have read and heard from many people that babies at this age are close to their moms but my son is the opposite. He is all about his daddy. When we go out to the mall he wants his daddy to hold him. If I take him he starts crying. This makes me sad. I get very upset. Is there anything I am not doing right? What should I be doing to make him come to me?

    I coyld have written both of these posts as well.  I am still emotional about it, but I keep reminding myself that it isn't something I am doing wrong and that when ds is older dh and i will both have special roles for him ( or i hope so).  I did ask his doctor about it and she said it is unusal but he just has us flipped in his mind and it is nothing to worry about.
