AW: I got to see my mom and she gave me my old baby clothes!

I posted a few days go a bit upset because I missed my mom. She was supposed to be able to come see us for a few hours when she passed through town and something came up and she could not. Well Christmas Day she called and said they did not have a load and were stuck in the area so she got to come see us a few hours this morning. It was great to see her. DS was so happy!!!

She had a box of my old baby stuff stored in our garage and we got to pull it down and inside she had a few special outfits from when I was a baby. Since we are supposed to be having a girl this time she passed them to her. A few were handmade by a little old lady my mom knew and they are adorable and so pretty and special. She had my old diaper covers and bloomers, a few dresses, some adorable ruffle lace pants and tops, and the cutest diaper kimono shirts with rocking horses I ever saw my whole life! We were a bit worried because they had some major discoloration but they are soaking in oxi clean now and after a few hours are already looking better so I know I can save them. It is just so neat to know they used to be mine and my mom was washing them and waiting or me to arrive with the same clothes I'm washing while waiting for our little Lola to arrive.

Just had to be an AW!

  • That's really sweet!  I have a few things that were mine as a baby too... DD doesn't wear them much, but it's nice to see them hanging in her closet at least!
