DS was waking up every couple of hours because he has outgrown the PNP and can not move around very well in it. We tried to put DS on the floor to sleep but I was waking up every hour to check on him and, more often than not, he had rolled off the bedding into a corner with electrical cords so I would have to get up and put him back on the bedding.
My question is...When you traveled where did your LO sleep when they were too big for the PNP but too young for a regular bed?
Re: Paging Moms with older kids
I've been thinking about the same thing. We just ordered G a PNP mattress to try to make it a little more comfy for him, he still fits size-wise. I think when he outgrows the PNP we will get this (similar to what Jonny said) so he can't roll off of it. But it doesn't help to contain him if he wants to get up and walk around.

We have stayed at several hotels and they have almost always brought in a PNP instead of a traditional crib. I am also a bit more concerned about staying at other's houses. At my parent's DH and I shared a full size bed so there wasn't any room really for DS too. I checked out those inflatable toddler air mattresses and I might decide to go that route. I believe we have a couple of months before we will be traveling again, but after 4 nights with little sleep, I am in desperate need of something.
I really appreciate everyone's suggestions and it gives me a lot of ideas to work with. Thanks again!
