Well, when I was really young I wanted to be a famous singer, actress, and model. I figured out by the time I was 7 or 8 that wasn't in the cards for me lmao!
When I was in the 5th or 6th grade, I decided I wanted to be a teacher, and so I am.
I'm currently a SAHM so I guess I am like the CEO of this house. haha. I have my business degree so I will eventually go back to work when the boys are in school. I probably will not be a CEO though.
an english teacher...but then i realized all of the grading of essays would be a pain. instead i am history teacher....that and i also wanted to be a lawyer. oh well, i achieved one of them!
I really wanted to be a meteorologist, and still think it would be an awesome career. Maybe someday I'll go back to school and get my degree in meteorology.
I'm a music teacher, so yeah not really close lol.
I wanted to be an astronaut. Good things I dropped that dream when I realized I am scared of heights. I'd be unemployed. I had a fabulous seventh grade English teacher and decided then that was what I wanted to be when I grew up. I taught seventh grade for a few years and now teach high school. Most of the time, I do love my job.

I wanted to be a vet. I worked in vet hospitals for twelve years.
Now I'm a nurse. Same thing, different pay. Taking care of animals who would rather bite you than appreciate the care you're giving them. I think I need to get out of the downtown hospital where all the drug addicts come...

My first goal was a pediatric cardiologist. I know, weird for a young kid but I knew what a cardiologist was since my grandfather had a heart attack and I wanted to work in pediatrics since I loved little kids.
That eventually changed into a meterologist. I was (and still am) obsessed with tracking hurricanes and such. Most years I could list every named storm of the tropic season.
As a SAHM by day/part time waitress at night, didn't quite get there. lol.
I wanted to be a Marine Biologist bc I LOVED the ocean as a kid. As a kid I wanted to name my daughter Oceaniana bc I loved the ocean so much. Didn't happen. I also wanted to be artist and a vet. Neither happened. I have craptastic job doing accounts receiveable. I am planning to go back to school to be a nurse.
I wanted to be a teacher or a SAHM. sucks I couldn't make it through our awful high school.
I'm waitressing now and I used to love it but I've hated it this entire pregnancy and I never want to go back. I've picked up every illness going around this year. I'm hoping that dh makes enough money by the time I'm off mat leave to never have to go back.
I was going to be an Oscar-winning screenwriter & director. I had serious plans to be the youngest person ever to win for screenwriting and envisioned them announcing it on air while I was in first period in high school! I had all kinds of books about the film industry and how to screenwrite and was writing my own screenplay and adapting a book to film when I was 13. Couldn't ever get the publisher to give me the rights to do it though, imagine that!
Anyway, I'm a nurse. After college, I was preparing to go to med school and working at the hospital when I realized I had absolutely no desire to do a residency or work 80 hours a week, basically ever. I wanted to have babies and see my family and wanted the ability to go home every day after work. So, nursing school it was!
I wanted to be an oceanographer and a detective with the NYPD.
Needless to say, no. I'm afraid of the water and refuse to live north of the Red River, cause, like, snow and stuff.

ETA: I have a master's in environmental science but I SAH. I guess I deal with my own version of the Loch Ness monster on a daily basis. Goal achieved.
I wanted to be a teacher, and I am one. So that worked out for me. Now I'd like to be a librarian. I hope I have the opportunity to fulfill that dream. I don't know if anything would make me happier, career-wise.

I wanted to be a vet. Then realized I am severely allergic to cats and dogs.
Then I wanted to be a cop. I actually gave that one an attempt - but the police academy was just not going to be my thing - I have severe asthma
I'm a social worker - which I have never once in my life said I wanted to be and to be honest, I still don't want to be!! lol. If I could change careers I would be a photographer (something awesome like National Geographic)
I wanted to be a pediatrician. Someone should have given me a reality check. I definitely don't have the kind of smarts it takes to get through medical school. Hah
I wanted to be a dr, or something -ologist. zoologist, cardiologist, neurologist. I just thought that sounded cool. As I got older I realized just how much school and how demanding being a dr would be. I knew making life or death decisions, I couldn't live with making the wrong decision. I decided to be a physical therapist. Still in the med field, but really hands on. I get to help people get stronger, and I LOVE my job! I still toy with med school, but can't justify spending that kind of money...
A physician. I came pretty close, but balked at the last minute after I realized it was more of my parents' dream and it really wasn't for me. Best decision of my life. I'm a pharmacist now...not too far from the dream, but a much better life for a mom (#1 job for women according to Forbes!)

A rock star. Seriously.
I'm a medical writer. I reached for the stars.
I am currently going to school for nursing so at least I am going to be in the medical field. Just for a different species...
Nurse or a cowgirl.
I am neither..
A CEO.
I'm currently a SAHM so I guess I am like the CEO of this house. haha. I have my business degree so I will eventually go back to work when the boys are in school. I probably will not be a CEO though.
A cowgirl? Interesting...
Meteorologist, I would so screw that up...
Then I wanted to be a photographer. Both DH and I have fancy art degrees.
He's a plumber I'm a SAHM.
It was the late sixties, cowboy shows were big.
And here in the Delaware Valley we had Sally Star,
My hero, a cowgirl that played cartoons and the
Three Stooges.
I have a degree in psychology and work at an insurance agency.
When I was really little I wanted to be the first women president or an actress... didn't work out.
Since middle school I've wanted to be a therapist and that's what I am.
Now I'm a nurse. Same thing, different pay. Taking care of animals who would rather bite you than appreciate the care you're giving them. I think I need to get out of the downtown hospital where all the drug addicts come...

I have plant allergies so that was never going to happen.
I sold my soul to "the man" and have a business degree. It pays better.

That's cute!

I wanted to be a vet. Then, I saw a very sick horse and couldn't handle it.
Next, I wanted to own a ranch that would take in homeless animals. Then I thought about bills.
In high school, I joined debate and wanted to be a lawyer. Then I went to college and realized I wanted to just be a student forever.
I switched majors three or four times and ended up with a degree in psychology. I'm a teacher.
Now, I want to own a book store.
A mom. A teacher. And, for a brief period, a marine biologist.
eta: a Broadway performer. I would still love to do that.
