I hear you! We just went on a tour of the L&D part of the hospital and DH said he felt sick and wanted to pass out! He claims it just made it "too real" but I hope the classes help (also he's got a problem with needles and such, so hearing about epidurals and c-sections may have helped with that). Ours is just a 1-day class for like 6 hours on Jan 26th.
We're all signed up too, but ours aren't until February!
Our five week class begins in February too! Whoo hoo! I'm a bit of a nerd, so I'm also taking 2 breast feeding classes, a tour of the hospital, and am making my husband take one too. LOL Can you tell that I'm a FTM? :

I'm an FTM too! I think ours is 3 weeks of childbirth preparation + a week of "infant / newborn care" and then a breastfeeding class, which I will probably let DH out of. :-)
DH wasn't pleased about taking the childbirth classes, but he is willing to do it to make me happy. Our hospital offers a 2 full Saturday course from 9-5 which is all he was willing to do. I just signed up and ours begin on January 12th! So excited!!
Have fun! I'm a STM and ours when I was pregnant with LO#1 were really terrible and not informative, but I'm sure that isn't how all of them are. The first 2 hours of our classes they talked about what things to avoid while pregnant like alcohol, drugs, changing cat litter. Really helpful when you look around the room and 99% of the participants were like 7 months pregnant. I was very bummed that they weren't informative at all. But, like I said, I'm sure that's not reflective of everywhere. It's still very exciting to be getting closer.
Re: Just signed up for...
Mine is something like that. Tuesday nights in Feb.
