So I am working until noon, and then heading home to start cooking. The first stop on my way home is the liquor store to pick up some necessities for tomorrow. We're hosting Christmas at our house, so I want to have some cocktails on hand.
Champagne and Orange Juice for Mimosas
6 pack of Coors Light
6 Pack of Crispin or Angry Orchard
1 Bottle of Marshmallow Vodka to serve with Hot Chocolate
1 Bottle of Ketel One Vodka, Cranberry Juice and Sprite
Anything else you would add? We're not huge drinkers, but I wanted some festive drinks for the guys and gals coming over, plus there is a ton of other drinks for the non drinkers.
Re: Christmas Drink List
I say pick up a decent bottle of scotch. And a liquer or two. Amaretto and irish cream? There are always old fashioned drinkers, like my husband and I, who may appreciate a amaretto sour or scotch on the rocks.
Eggnog (both Liquer and non-alcoholic)
Peppermint Martinis
I agree with LSU, wine is always good to have around. I am a big red wine drinker, not a big fan of white, but want people to have a variety. We had Christmas Eve last night, since DH and I are in law enforcement and I have to work. We had two adult tables and each table had a bottle of red wine and white wine. Then for the kids, I made Crock Pot Hot Chocolate and a non-alcoholic punch and soda.
