I posted the other day about how the teachers' union here was going to be picketing, and thought I'd share some pictures of Lily with her picket sign (one side said "I was born into a democracy. Where did it go?" and the other said "Rep. . .Repea. . .Say 'bye-bye' to Bill 115"). She thought it was a fantastic day, filled with some of her favourite things: meeting new people (who all loved her), walking around, eating food, singing and dancing.
Walking the line. Apparently, one sign wasn't enough to cover her outrage.
Taking a break.
Singing Christmas carols and dancing to keep warm. She clapped for more at the end of every song.
Meeting the president of the union and the head of the local chapter.

Re: AW: My Little Activist (PIPs)
Haha, she was so proud of herself! She spotted the chair and managed to climb her way in all by herself.

The way the Ontario government has been treating teachers. They passed legislation to take away our collective bargaining rights.
And to those who said that the powers that be couldn't possibly resist and they hope we had good results, thanks but unfortunately the government immediately responded to our union's request to put enforcing the legislation on hold until they elect a new leader (the premier quit because he was getting so much flack for this) by saying no, they would enforce it asap.
