TTC after 35

two days slight twitching on right side of ovary...help!! What does it mean?

Hello,

I am over 35 and TTC for over a year.  My ovulation was 7 days ago when I felt a slight twitching on the right side of my ovary.  Now that its 7 dpo I am feeling slight twitching and one sharp pain on my right side whenever I bend down.  Even sitting down I can feel a little pressure in that area.  The only other symptoms I have is tingling and slight sore breasts. The twitching happened for a couple hours for two days now.  What is this pain and is it implementation pain or an ovary cyst? I am nervous please help explain if any of you are  have gone through this same feeling.  Thank you.

  • If it feels like it's in the ovary it might be a cyst but it's hard to say -- sometimes it's hard to locate precisely where in the abdomen a sensation is coming from.  I've heard that implantation cramping feels dull or "tugging," a bit like a menstrual cramp.

  • I sure hope its not a cyst.  I've never had any issues in that area before.  Can you explain to me what the feeling is like during implantation? Where is the cramping and tugging pain at? Thanks :)

Well, it's never actually happened to me so I wouldn't know for sure.  ;-)

  • Hi.  I actually have felt implantation with two of my pregnancies (lost both unfortunately).  The first felt a lot like menstrual cramps but slightly different and I had light bleeding, thought it was my period.  The second I recognized the feeling from the first time and had no bleeding.  The best way I know how to describe how it was different from actual menstrual cramps is to say that it's all in the uterus and feels like something is stretching.  When I have menstrual cramps I don't just feel them in my uterus, there is a crampy tender feeling that radiates down into the vagina (sorry to be so graphic).  The implantation feeling was all in the uterus, so once I was aware of the differences I knew how to recognize it the second time.  Everyone is different, though, so I would pay attention to how you usually feel with menstrual cramps and if anything is different then you could be feeling implantation or something else could be going on.  Also, I know it's sometimes hard to distinguish gas pains from pains in the ovary or uterus, so if you've been kinda gassy it could be that.  Hope that helps a little, sorry I know that nobody can give you a perfect answer!  Good luck!!
