My kid is an eater, so this might not be relevant to you... She eats about 5-6 oz of food at a sitting, plus water in a sippy. She still nurses almost as much as she used to- we seem to have dropped only one nursing session so far. I suggest making your own baby food. It's super easy. Pinterest has lots of recipe ideas. Making your own is super cheap too. Store purees in ice cube trays- which are about an ounce of food, then freeze. Once the food is frozen, run the back of the tray under hot tap water to release- and store food cubes in ziplocs. That way you can just thaw what you need- an ounce at a time. I microwave cubes for 45 seconds, stir and serve. I make lots of foods and just store until I need them. Makes it easy to store a variety!
Every kid is different- and he's still kinda young, I bet he'll like food more eventually- if he's still getting enough milk- don't worry- food is for fun right now anyway!

Ds didn't eat much the first month. Once we started fruits in the evening as his 2nd meal he started eating 2 of the small gerber pouches. Now, he eats a ton in the evening and they say he eats a 2nd size container of veggies at dc, but it,took a month or so.
My 8 month old boy eats a 4 oz. pur?e at each meal (3 meals a day) plus a 4 ounce yogurt and or shredded cheese and whole grain bread (about 1/2 piece a day).
I've been trying solids for about a month now... she either clenches her mouth shut... or does raspberries and it all comes out.. its frustrating.. very very frustrating... but glad to see I'm not alone..

So glad to know I'm not alone! My LO is 8 mos and refuses to eat more than 2 bites here and there. Then, when he does eat it seems like it hurts his tummy. We did see a GI specialist but that turned up nada.
We recently just increased to 2 feedings a day because her appetite just seemed insatiable! I give 2 tsp rice ceral w/ a breastmilk and mix in prunes or some other fruit about mid-morning/noon and then about 2-3 more tsp around late afternoon/early evening. She also get a 6oz bottle every 3 hrs but STTN from about 7pm-7am
