Hello.
Well, we live in a condo on the ground floor. My son 2 years has recently started to climb out of his crib and wonders around. We have a front door which is inside of the building and another main door that leads to our patio that is also along a busy main road. We lock both locks on the doors every night just to be sure. He knows how to unlock the ones on the handle he's tall enough but can't reach the main locks yet.. Any suggestions of what kind of locks we could put up high so he won't be able to reach them??
Re: Child locks
I'm sure you can find one at a hardware store. The old fashioned chain one would work.
We had lever door handles on all our downstairs doors. Those locks don't work at all, we ended up just buying a bunch of cheapy knob ones at lowes and switching them out. I'm not sure if I'll put the levers back on when he gets older, I kinda like the knobs better.

Hotel style!
We have these on our back patio doors- works great.
i have a houdini 2 year old too! he's figured out the baby gates at this point and we have the round door knob safety cover on our front door, because he can and will run outside on his own. very scary.
what about a simple eye hook and latch (like the ones you'd find on a crappy bathroom stall) installed high up on the doorframe?
