PIP: Help! DD "colored" on herself, how can I get it off?
It's Sharpie. I tried washing and scrubbing, but it's not coming off.
We were at my mom's and she "colored" on herself, my nephew, my mom bedroom wall and her pillow.
BTW...DH was "taking care of her"

Be careful!! Do NOT use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!!!
While it works wonders in the house, it has something in it that burns the hell out of skin. I've seen pictures of kids who had it rubbed on them or have done it themselves and it's NOT pretty!!

I'd say rubbing alcohol as well. Too bad she didn't do any coloring on Daddy, right? ;-) LOL...
Ok - I know it isn't funny, but it is. And it will make a cute story one day!
How old is your nephew that she colored on? LOL And is your mom super upset about her bedroom walls?
I would KILL dh! And that totally sounds like something that would happen on his watch.
DD did this to herself a couple weeks ago. Rubbing alcohol will take off the top layer, but you will still have quite a bit left after that.

You can get it at an auto parts store. I think they make a "mother's" version of it, but I just get the regular old stuff.
Also--works wonders when the kid put Vaseline in their hair. That is actually the reason we had the tub of it handy.
But just stick her in the tub and lather her up w/ the goop. It's a little grainy, so be gentle, but it takes it off like magic.

My mom was okay with it. DH did touch up the spot on the wall. My nephew who got it is 13 mos. It's on his leg.
My mom told me that when I was 2, I colored on my grandma's wall too.
I do think it's funny.
Oh yikes! Ditto the pp.
I also googled "removing sharpie marker from skin" and got a bunch of hits.
Good luck! She does look very festive with the red stripes :-)

Ditto the previous posters: the Mr. Clean eraser can cause burns when used on.
Alcohol seems really harsh for sensitive skinned little ones. It will wear off in a day or two...unless you have professional pics being taken tomorrow or something like that can she just keep her "decorations" until they wear off?
OMG Erica, that would have sucked!
Whatever you try, if it's too much scrubbing or it hurts her, just keep up with her regular baths and stuff. It will eventually fade on her skin. That's too bad!
