Re: short cervix and dilated to 2cm @ 27 weeks
with my last pregnancy I was diagnosed with a short cervix at 23 weeks...at 27 weeks my cervix measured 1.5 and I was dialated to 1cm. After that I was put on procardia daily, progesterone shots and strict bed rest. I made it to 37 weeks when I had my DD.
Follow Dr's orders, take it really easy, call for any cramping or anything that worries you. I know how scary it can be but know that you can stay dialated like that for a long term. I was basically told that I would be having DD early when they saw my measurments at 27 weeks but they couldn't say how early. With all of the meds and bed rest I was very happy to make it to full term exactly.
Good luck!
This happened to me with my son. Exact same week and everything. I was put on strict bed rest and medicine to keep the contractions away and made it to 35w3d with a healthy little boy!
Hang in there momma.
You're in my thoughts and prayers!
I was 25 weeks with no cervix and 1cm dilated. I was sent to the hospital for steroids shots and placed on magnesium for about 48 hours. Since then I have been on hospital bed rest and have been on procardia every 4 hours. I am now 31 weeks and still pregnant. It is scary but take it day by day and follow what the doctors recommend. Hang in there!!
