How often do you get LO's pictures taken?

I know in the first year we all get crazy snapping photos and then time seems so get in the way. I got my DS's photos taken at 3 mos., xmas 9 mos. and 15 mos(family photo). I am now going to wait awhile. What are your time lines for getting your LO's photos done?

I did every 3 months the first year, every 6 months the second year, and now plan to get family pics once a year around LO's b-day.

My sister is a photographer, so really whenever I want or if she gets new props she likes to use the girls for them. If I didn't have her, then I would just do once a year after the first year.

We did professional pictures for newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year (which was also Christmas, we did 2 separate shoots). I think I intended to take him at 18 months also, but didn't. I didn't do a Christmas session this year because LO#2 will be here in a few weeks and he will have his 2 year photos done with her newborn photos.

My boys have spring birthdays 1.5 months apart. We get pics taken then. We also get another smaller session for fall or our holiday card.

this! ... newborn, 3 mos, 6 mos, 9 mos, 1 yr, 18 mos, 2 yr and now 2.5. The only reason we did 18 mos and 2.5 is because it happens to fall in November when we have our Christmas portraits done.

I've never had them professionally done, but I take a lot of pictures, and average ~150 pics a month worth posting online.

i take pics all the time still though most are on my cell phone. professionally, we try to get them done once a year. she also gets school pics once a year.

We do them twice a year. Near his spring birthday and then for holidays so it ends up about 6 months apart. Baby 2 is due a month after DS's birthday so it'll be easy to keep the same general timing each year.

We've done newborn, 6 months, 1 year. And then 2 year & newborn for DD2, 2.5 & 6 months, 3 year & 1 year. From now on we're only doing annual pictures right around the girls' birthdays.

What I've done is pictures for her birthday, our holiday card family photo and then I take her to Sears at Halloween to get her in her costume. I mostly do this because my MIL makes DDs costumes.

Newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2 years, and then every year.

I did newborn pix and then every year in the fall we do an outdoor shoot w a photographer so we get great pix of the kids and family shots and use them for holiday cards. I take a lot of photos myself and have a decent camera tho I am not super skilled but I always get some that turn out well to share.

We did newborn pics in the hospital (a nice surprise provided by the maternity ward!), family shots at one year, and just did in-home pro shots by a friend for Christmas. DD is a Valentine's baby, so we will do two year pics in a few weeks. I think we will keep doing birthday pics once a year, and I love our photographer friend so we will do holidays with her from now on, too.

Otherwise, it's all iPhone pics
