  • My 3 year old girl is getting a NABI 2 from her grandparents this year.

  • If you can, I would invest in a family iPad. I recently bought one with frequent flyer miles and the apps for DS are amazing.
  • We have an ipad and the kids love it.  They fight over it.  I wanted something I wasn't afraid they would break if they took out.  So we decided on the Kindle FIres.  The apps are cheaper than the leap pads we were thinking of and they can watch movies, read books, etc on them.   We think they will last at least a few years.
  • And I will add that if you are worried about the fragility of the iPad, get an otterbox. I had a friend who left his on his car roof and drove down the street. The iPad survived the impact and subsequent couple of cars that went by.
  • We just bought our kids each a Nabi 2 (DS1 is 5 and we have twins that are 3).  We could've spent ~$100 on a cheaper tablet, but I like that the Nabi seems more kid tough than a standard tablet.

  • I got Tim an Inntab 2. I wanted to get him a more age appropriate toy
